Ibiza nightlife: welcome to the most party island in the world! Crystal clear sea, golden sandy beaches, but most of all crazy nights! Here is the complete guide to the discos and nightlife of Ibiza, the "party island" par excellence, the island that never sleeps, a favorite destination for thousands of young people in non-stop fun.
Ibiza nightlife
Famous island of the Balearics, Ibiza is undoubtedly the undisputed queen of nightlife and the home of nightclubs. Here the parties follow one another day and night without stopping, among its numerous beach bars and clubs, including mega events and transgressive parties, all seasoned with its unique liveliness.
In addition to discos, the island of fun offers a welcoming climate and beaches with crystal clear sea: Ibiza is a mix of nature, music and young people, a place where the wild clubs and beach bars are immersed in isolated bays, where luxury hotels alternate with white villages perched on the surrounding hills. This is also part of the magic of Ibiza.
The island became famous during the 1960s as a hippie hangout. The growing flow of visitors has given the impetus for the opening of numerous discos, night clubs and bars, which have begun to attract more and more revelers from all over the world. The first clubs to open already in the 70s, were Amnesia, Pacha and Ku Club (or the current Privilege), which, with the increase in their fame, began to become high-level fashionable clubs arriving, from the 80s, to host the most famous international DJs.
Today Ibiza's nightclubs, some large enough to accommodate more than 3000 people, host the best DJs in the world and boast a world-class organization to offer the public one of the best clubbing experiences in the world.
The nightlife of the island is mainly concentrated in the towns of Eivissa and San Antonio: in Eivissa go to the marina area (Puerto de Ibiza), full of bars and nightclubs, while in San Antonio the bars, restaurants and clubs are located in the center and in the west.
A very important part of Ibiza's nightlife are the numerous music bars all over the island, where people go to warm up before moving to the clubs, listening to music and dancing in a more relaxed atmosphere. Most of these bars have free admission, drinks are cheaper than in clubs (although not in all cases) and international level DJs always alternate at the console. Most of the beach bars start in the early afternoon from around 5pm until midnight, while other bars start from midnight until late in the morning.
To go around the main nightclubs of the island, the Discobus , a bus service with a frequency of 30 minutes that connects the various areas of Ibiza's nightlife. In this way, young people do not need to use the car to go to the disco.
But Ibiza is not just clubs, bars and music. You can continue the evening walking through the narrow streets packed with people of the upper town of Eivissa (Dalt Vila), a real fortress that is the setting for the great social and cultural events organized in the town. The walls surrounding the Dalt Vila are made up of seven bastions: that of Sant Pere (Es Portal Nou) coincides with one of the entrances near the Reina Sofía park and is the setting for outdoor concerts.
